Southwest Florida is a golfer's paradise. With over a hundred courses in Collier County alone, the Lee-Collier County area is a golfer's mecca - every golfer's mecca. From country club communities to resort golf clubs and public courses there is a course for players of every skill level from novice to pro.
Many communities are built around golf courses and membership in the course may be "bundled" with home ownership. The owner-members pay an additional monthly fee to support the golf facility and ownership of the club membership transfers with the home ownership. Copperleaf at The Brooks in Bonita Springs is one such community.
Equity golf clubs may be restricted to property owners in the community or unrestricted as to residency. Equity club members pay a membership fee and monthly fees; memberships may be resold in accordance with club rules. The Club at Renaissance in Fort Myers has an excellent 18-hole course designed by Arthur Hills and is situated in the nicely landscaped Renaissance community. Imperial Golf Club offers two excellent golf courses by Arthur Hills and private memberships at Imperial Golf Estates in Naples.

Raptor Bay is a public golf course at the Hyatt Coconut Point in Estero. Raymond Floyd designed the Audubon Sanctuary course in this fast growing area of Estero - Bonita Springs.
Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club has a great golf course originally built in 1929 and redesigned in 1998; public play is available. While you are there check out the gorgeous surrounding neighborhoods.
